As a self storage operator, you are aware that you work in an industry that is not only highly competitive, but also more difficult to market to the public than many other products or industries are. Let’s face it; self storage isn’t sexy, it isn’t glamorous, and it can be hard to find the right advertising platform and methods to use to entice new tenants to choose your storage facility over your competitors. Print advertising has been widely used as the industry standard in storage marketing for many years. While being listed in these print directories may still bring in a few calls a year from prospective tenants, chances are they aren’t delivering the results you need to stay ahead of your competition and keep your facility occupancy percentages high. We live in an ever changing world, and the way people find the businesses and services they need is rapidly changing with it. Consumers are using search engines now more than ever to find what they need, and often times it is a company’s online presence that makes that important first impression when a searcher is comparing self storage facilities, or anything else for that matter. Building a significant online presence has become a crucial part of marketing for storage facilities, and there are many different ways to do so without spending an arm and a leg on advertising.

A successful online marketing strategy consists of a multifaceted suite of self storage marketing services. These services include: Website design optimization, content writing and blogging, brand building techniques, social networking, paid search advertising (PPC), event promotion, and much more. By building a fully optimized website that is both aesthetically pleasing to users and properly configured for search engines, your self storage company is able to give searchers a first impression good enough to make them choose you over another storage facility in your area. Quality original content is important for driving traffic to your website, increasing your online visibility and bringing your site to the top of organic search results. Consider the following search engine statistics collected in a study performed by Forrester Research:

Four Steps To Your Ministry Marketing Plan For Promotion Or Ways To Earn Extra Money Online Do you have a ministry marketing plan or strategic course of action for your ministry promotion or Christian home business online? I have found having a basic plan of action can be crucial in experiencing success whether working for my clients or simply looking to earn extra money online for provision for my vision. The Ministry Marketing Plan Of Action: P L A N: P stands for Predetermine your goals. Be specific with what you want to accomplish. Write it down and look at it often. You know the saying, “out of sight out of mind.” These goals need to be burned into your heart and mind. Break your goals down into a 90 or 120 day period. Make them real, where you can accomplish them. I recently had a 90 day goal and would put hash marks in the back of my Bible. I recorded significant events that happened along those 90 days. I didn’t quite make all of my goals, but accomplished enough to help me see even more clearly the Hand of God in my life. He knows my dreams and visions. He gives me the desires of my heart!!!!! “L” stands for Lay out a strategic course of ACTION!. For example, if you are looking to have a ministry marketing plan online to promote your Christian music or your ministry, you’ll want to identify your target audience. What kind of lead generation system will you use? Will you have people opt-in for something for free, or subscribe to your newsletter, your e-zine? Part of laying out a course of action means work! You want to be able to learn and work out what you are learning in the process. For example, I was learning from my coach, Stephen Pierce, specific steps to gain more views on my YouTube videos.

I watched the webinar, took notes, and was even given the specific instructions explaining each step. Then it was up to me to take action, shoot the videos, and work out each of those steps of action. It was quite amazing to see results. I even won the grand prize in his video contest with the MRMI Super Cash team! He gave us all the exact steps he uses to gain massive views on his videos and high organic rankings in Google with those wonderful thumbnails showing the video. So, each person on this team who followed these steps, gained the most views, and had well produced videos, would be the grand prize winner! I won an awesome free camera! I also accomplished one of my goals in that 90 day period! Anyway, laying out a strategic course of action that will produce results is key. “A” stands for Adjust your priorities! No matter if you are looking for a ministry marketing plan that produces results or simply wanting to find ways to earn extra money online, you should make personal development a priority. It might mean getting up earlier to spend more time in the Word. It also might mean investing in your finances to go to a training seminar or attend a conference. If you have to watch less television to learn a new skill, do it! Make it a top priority to take care of your mind and your body! Go on a fast from negative words. Make it a habit to develop positive images of where you see yourself going in your ministry marketing plan or business venture earning the finances to be free to serve God!
